Interpretive Design Touchscreen Games
We created a series of touchscreen interactive games for the Cleveland Metroparks NatureTracks mobile classroom. The games are designed for grade school children to help reinforce lessons that are taught as a part of the NatureTracks onboard programming.
The games focus on several topics including food chains, animal habitats, and adaptations. In addition to designing the games to be easy and fun to play for various age groups of children, we also made sure to design the interface and overall look of the games to integrate with the interior aesthetic of the mobile classroom.
Interpretive Design Touchscreen Games
The National Inventors Hall of Fame asked us to create four interpretive interactive experiences for in situ touchscreen kiosks as a part of their Intellectual Property Power Exhibition. The interactives include educational games designed to educate visitors about the importance of trademarks, soundmarks and charactermarks, and a quiz for school-aged kids that helps them identify their own "Inventor Superpowers".
Web Development + CRM, Print Design
This website for the Cleveland Zoological Society uses a colorful, friendly design and high-level programming to help visitors support and engage with the CZS online. The site automatically pulls fresh content via social media feeds, and the CZS staff can manage their content quickly with our powerful CMS. Our integrated CRM enables them to manage and track their patrons' activity and donations. The site is responsive so it's mobile friendly, and onboard SEO tools ensure it is indexed and easy to find.
In addition, CZS asked us to overhaul the design of their quarterly print publication, ZMagazine. We designed a clean new look and modern tone that dovetailed perfectly with the design of the website and helped elevate the tone of their overall brand.
"FORM web sites look amazing, and the CMS is very user-friendly for administrators. We now have more repeat visitors to our site, and longer visits. People are coming back often to see what’s new. Plus, the FORM staff, while always being professional, are more like friends than colleagues."
Web Development + CMS
Our goal in creating this website for The Contemporary Arts Center was to build an online presence that is at once dynamic, forward thinking and user-friendly. The site automatically pulls social media feeds to keep the content fresh, and encourages sharing, memberships and donations by using strategic design and message placement. Embedded video and related media such as slidecasts, podcasts and catalogs are automatically associated with exhibitions, programs and events. The site houses a 70-year archive of the museum's past exhibitions. All content is manageable through a customized content management system and is completely responsive for a seamless mobile experience.
"We issued an RFP and within a few months, it was clear that FORM had the most experience creating visually compelling, intuitive sites for organizations like ours. Branding, Touchscreen Interactive, Web + CMS, Print
We created a distinctive brand image and website for Great Lakes Theater. The new look makes use of a memorable color story and typography with tightly cropped photos and immersive imagery to reflect the Hanna theater's intimate environment. The website and print collateral are married seamlessly, and the web content is dynamic through our easy-to-use, customized content management system. The print campaign includes everything from catalogs, posters and postcards to street pole banners and venue signage.
The theater also asked us to devise a modern version of the traditional lobby donation box. In response, we created the 'Humbug Machine', a 3 x 8-foot interactive kiosk that features life-size video footage of the classic holiday curmudgeon Scrooge enticing audience members to make a donation to support arts education programming for students via an attached bill collector. When a bill is inserted, Scrooge acknowledges the bill denomination and responds with a variety of in-character antics, from comical to outrageous. Patrons are encouraged to share photos of their kiosk experience on social media using the hashtag #HumbugMachine. Special thanks to Shape for shooting and editing the Scrooge video.
"Our online season ticket and event purchases have soared with the new web site, and our web-related social media sharing has skyrocketed. We couldn’t be happier and remain impressed with FORM’s ongoing commitment to refine our site. This company understands the long-term value and meaning of, ‘partnership.’"

The end result is a beautifully branded and unique site that's powerful and easy to use for fans and CPH staff alike. We designed this campaign for the Cleveland Play House season repertory.

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank has a vast constituency of donors, volunteers, advocates, and people in need. Our challenge in creating their new website was to devise an information architecture and visual design that's responsive, easy to navigate, and able to accommodate dynamic and deep content. The site navigation was simplified by splitting it into two categories: for those who want to give help, and those who need help. We saved the Food Bank time and money, too, by leveraging their existing content to weave together stories of those in need with an easy option to donate, advocate and volunteer.
"FORM helped the Greater Cleveland Food Bank create a visually-appealing and very user-friendly website. They designed a site that enables us to tell a story about what we do and who we serve. It has become a great tool to help us get our message out to the public."

ACCESS helps enable homeless women to break the cycle of poverty through education, job and life skills. Our challenge was to create a brand image, descriptor, identity and website that speaks to empowerment rather than simply, "housing." To communicate this message, we shared personal stories of residents who found their way out of homelessness. This messaging helps inspire those who are in need of help while demonstrating ACCESS's good works to donors and volunteers.

Spangler Candy asked us to develop their major brand and corporate sites, as well as a series of iOS apps to help bring the DumDums brand into the digital age.
Fllick-a-Pop is a fast-paced twitcher game that prompts players to "eat" as many DumDums as possible in a limited period of time. We incorporated the pop flavors, colors and wrappers directly into the gameplay to enhance product and brand awareness. The game ties into Apple's Game Center to promote sharing and social interaction. Since its release, the app has had over 1.5 million downloads.
DumDums Drums is an iPad app that challenges kids to follow the Dum Dums Drum Man as he rocks it out on stage. Users play a game of Simon Says by immitating what the Drum Man plays on his drum set. The longer you play, the harder it becomes. The game encourages competition and multiple plays, and is tied to social media. It's a fun, front-of-mind brand extension for Dum Dums.
We redesigned Spanger's web presences, too. For the DumDum Pops site, FORM designed a fun and welcoming interface, and used a combination of programming, design and illustration to introduce online brand enhancements including an online game, screen savers and wallpapers, an interactive trivia quiz, online coloring books and a flavor-voting contest. Spangler's corporate site ties into their CRM to allow for bulk purchasing.
